Silvia Medri

Hello everybody,

My name is Silvia, I’m 21 and I’m enrolled at the second year in Education Science Department at Bologna University.

1. What comes to your mind considering the IP “Finding pedagogical resources within urban places- building the education city”?

When I think about the project the things that come to my mind are about how to explore and develop the resources and the facilities which are present on the urban ground, in order to provide to the users means, spaces and incentives to make them in the conditions to increase and to acquire the necessary skills for their intellectual and physical development. In fact, environment influences people, so in my opinion the project consist in idealizing, planning and building appropriate ares in ways to meet the user’s learning needs.

2. What does it mean to you?

I consider this programme a great opportunity to get in touch with Swedish culture and to interact with their educational system. In Sweden there are high standards of education so this will be a chance to observe their methods, their approach to preschool children and to compare them with  the Italian ones. I’m sure this experience will strongly enrich my future studies and will broaden my horizons.

3. How would you contribute to the IP?

I would contribute to the IP with my organisational skills and my ability to work well in a group. I’m an easygoing person, I really enjoy working in teams because I love the different ideas that are generated, as well as the quality of work you can create. I’m also very motivated and each time I’m involved in something, I always try to do it the best I can.
