Alberta Snelli

My name is Alberta and I am 32 years old. I live in Rimini, a small city near the sea, very nice for its quaint old town, for the beach and for its sweet countryside.

After having done a lot of several works, I decided to begin to work as a social and cultural educator and this choice gave me a lot of satisfaction, it’s really what I want to do in my life…

Since when I was twenty years old I started a  path of personal growth, so I went in Holland for one month in a University of humanistic psychology, then I studied psychodrama, bio-dance, bio-energetic and I  have attended numerous courses and workshops about emotional awareness and body–work.

For seven years I was President of an Association that promotes “alternative techniques” like yoga, meditation, dance-therapy, theatre-therapy, contact improvisation, etc..

This year I became a “doctor clown”, and now I go one time a week to the hospital to take care of children and their families.

Since 2003 I run a farm, a wonderful country-house with b&b rooms .

Also I work as a manager-hostess during some events and I do some extra-work in a bar… I do wonderful capuccini!!

I have three beautiful cats and one big dog, I love to take care of my garden, walking with my dog, sharing and having fun with my friends, listening to good music, dancing and meditating.
I am a girl full of interests, eclectic and creative. I’m very happy to share with all of you this beautiful opportunity!

 1. Reflecting on the IP’s first year, share some ideas about your experience.

The last IP Lisboa was the most beautiful experience in my life, both as an university experience and as an experience of personal growth.

It was a chance for relating myself with other students and teachers who came from other countries and other contexts, for increasing my skills and for learning how to use a theme in a situation characterised by an international group-work.

I have really appreciated the interdisciplinarity of the IP , teachers have guided us to use a lot and several instruments and methodologies for realising our projects – like using the pc, making pictures and videos, using performance.

Working in a group empowered me much: I learnt to confront myself with other students, to share ideas and opinions with others, to manage conflicts for allowing to bring out creative ideas, in a cooperative way… and the final work was beautiful !!! It was fantastic seeing how we have presented our work!

To me, confronting myself on an university level, in another country, is very important for growing in a global way, especially in this historical and cultural period which is characterized by globalization and that is a great opportunity to do it!

2. What does it mean to you to participate in this IP for the second year?

First of all, to me, to participate in this IP for the second year means having the possibility  to continue this route, it will be possible to compare the past experience in a different context – social and cultural new context – having deeper and enriching knowledge.

It means considering those several projects like a big process, giving attention to what can be similar and what can be different. Looking at my self, I’m not the same person too as last year, so I’m happy to test myself another time.

It will be nice to meet again students and teachers that I have meet last year and to know new ones!

3. How can you contribute to it?

I would like to contribute to the IP with my creativity and my sensibility.
I could share my knowledge that I have in different areas, like pc work, to take pictures , and personal skills.
I am very sensitive about environmental issues.
I am curios and I have always a lot of new ideas.
I face new situations with a great enthusiasm and I could involve the whole group.
